EXPRESSED ENTERTAINMENT FILMS

Expressed Entertainment has embarked on a journey into filmmaking.  As Full Sail graduates, Marvin R. Askew II and Johnette "JA" Warren-Askew, team up with a handful of Buffalo's best homegrown talent to make films that matter.   With a strong desire to make films that make people think, tell true stories and touch peoples lives through their craft, they take pride in the art of storytelling.

EXE has already released it's first feature length film, The Glass Floor, at the Buffalo Niagara International Film Festival in 2017.  It was their first film and yet it won two awards.  Bothe the Audience and Most Promising New Filmmaker for JA who both wrote the script and then produced and co-directed with her husband Marvin.

The couple would follow it up with a series of short films. The most recent to win an award was "The Temp", written and directed by Marvin Askew II.  The couple, who co-produced the project, considers it their COVID baby.  Seeing how they filmed it during the pandemic with a skeleton cast and crew, including JA playing the lead actress, Riley.  It won first place at Buffalo Movie and Video Makers annual film competition in June of 2021.

They are now in pre-production on another feature length film.  You will find more information about Expressed Entertainment Filmmaking at the links on this tab.  Including information about how you can be apart of the team and auditioning for upcoming roles.
